WELCOME TO THE ASB G9

The Eden Park Trust is excited to announce the ASB G9 2018, a unique live experience in New Zealand's national stadium.

Following the success of the inaugural ASB G9 in November 2017, the event will once again bring together some favourite New Zealand pastimes – golf, cricket, and rugby – in a truly iconic setting.

The conversion of Eden Park to a unique nine-hole golf course will take place from 3-10 November this year, giving up to 3,000 people the opportunity to hit a hole-in-one on Eden Park. With four holes-in-one in 2017, 2018 players could win a share of $50k worth of prizes, including the coveted ASB G9 Yellow Jacket which will be awarded to the child, individual adult, and team winners.

Players will have the opportunity to tee off from nine different locations around Eden Park with a bonus longest putt competition in the home team changing room. Ten shots with as many chances for a hole-in-one!

The 2018 ASB G9 will see the addition of elements such as a golden ball. The golden ball will allow players to purchase an additional four balls in the Jameson Clubhouse prior to their round. These golden balls can be used out on the course at the player's discretion, giving them an opportunity to have a second shot on four of the course holes. A second shot will mean a second chance at a hole-in-one or a chance to improve your score. How you choose to play these four golden balls is up to you.

Ladies’ Day, Saturday 10 November, will feature loads of treats including Mumm on arrival, live DJs, a pamper station, wine tastings and prizes for the best dressed on the course.

THE EDEN PARK TRUST

Player Information.

1. Players are to arrive 45 minutes prior to their tee time.
2. Players sign in at the registration desk located in the Jameson Clubhouse on South Level 4 (Access through Gate G) and will be allocated to a starting hole and group.
3. An Eden Park staff member will be allocated to each group and will guide you to your first hole.
4. Players are required to be at their tee position 15 minutes prior to their tee time in order for shotgun format to commence.
5. Thanks to Golf Warehouse both left and right-handed golf clubs will be available at each hole.
6. Groups will have their official scorecards checked off at the registration desk when the round has concluded.
7. Food and beverage will be available in the Jameson Clubhouse before and after the round.
8. Each team has 90 minutes to complete the nine-hole (with an additional bonus hole), par 3 course.
9. To be eligible for the team prize a team must have four members and no substitutions are permitted.

The Rules.

1. Format
   1. Shotgun format
   2. Groups of 4 per hole
   3. 2-person and 4-person tee time booking
   4. 9 Holes + Bonus Longest Putt
   5. 90 minutes per round
      1. 1 minute shot routine per player at each hole
      2. 4 minute routine per hole total
      3. 5 minute travel time between holes
2. Players are able to use their own clubs however they are restricted to only an 8-iron, 9-iron, wedge and putter.
3. Golf bags are not permitted.
4. Players are only permitted one shot per hole (unless they’ve purchased a golden ball) excluding the Bonus hole where each player will have one minute to hole out.
5. Only one player is permitted on each of the elevated platforms at anyone time.
6. Hole ambassadors are responsible for confirming each player’s score and filling out the scorecard at each hole.
7. Players must obey hole ambassadors or course marshals throughout their round.

About the course.

1st Tee: Barfoot and Thompson ‘Home Sweet Home’

Players will tee off from an elevated platform situated on the north-east corner of the stadium next to New Zealand’s smallest RSA.

Following the 1st tee, please walk down from Level 4 of the North Stand to Level 3 of the East Stand. Turn right and head up the stairs to the Upper-East Stand section 303 where the tee location awaits.

2nd Tee: GoPro ‘The Hero Shot’

Players will be hoping for an Insanely Smooth shot as they tee off from GoPro’s hole – all will be filmed on their latest product, the GoPro Hero 7 Black.

Following the 2nd tee, please make your way to the Entertainers’ Tunnel where you will find the 3rd Tee.

3rd Tee: Blue Star ‘Shoot for the Stars’

Players will test out their skills in the sand and attempt to escape the bunker with a shot from the entertainers’ tunnel out onto the field.

Once out of the bunker take a stroll across the hallowed turf and up into the stands above the players’ tunnel where you will play your next shot.

4th Tee: AA Insurance ‘The Hole Course Covered’

Players will tee off from an elevated platform above the players’ tunnel on the South Stand of the stadium.

When the hole has been completed, it’s time to head to where the All Blacks and BLACKCAPS prepare for battle. Walk through the tunnel to the home team changing room.

Bonus Hole: Programmed ‘Programmed In Putt’

This hole requires the putter and will be played in the All Blacks and BLACKCAPS changing room, with the extra challenge of holing out before the time expires! Now it’s time to jump into Steve Hansen’s shoes.

Head up the coaches’ staircase to the home coaches’ box, out onto the Level 3 concourse and then up the staircase to the Level 4 balcony where you will find the 5th hole.

5th Hole: Golf Warehouse ‘Gimmie’

Players will step out onto our South Level 4 members’ balcony where an elevated platform will be waiting for them to hit off over the lower seating area onto the field of play.

After you’ve taken a swing off the balcony, head to the South Level 4 wing where you will find the next tee-off area.

6th Hole: ASB ‘ONE SHOT AHEAD’

The 6th tee is in the western end of the South Stand seating area on South Level 4.

Walk down to the South Level 3 concourse, move across to the West Stand, and up the stairs to the Upper-West Stand. With Mt Eden as your audience, line up your next shot through the posts. Head down, follow through!

7th Hole: Mammoth ‘The MAMMOTH Hole’

Players will hit off an elevated platform placed on the Upper-West Stand. This is the longest hole on the course. To get close on this one you will have to hit right over the black dot.

Make your way to the bottom of the West Stand, as you take a walk down memory lane. Follow the signage to Section 206 where you will take your next shot.

8th Hole: Kennards Hire ‘Make your club easy! ‘

Players will hit off an elevated platform located on the lower section of the West Stand. Follow the signage up the staircase towards Entry A, before taking another flight of stairs up to Level 4 of the North Stand.

Walk across the concourse to Section 408 which is your next tee-off location.

9th Hole: Radio Sport ‘The Hole of Sport’

The 9th tee is located in the middle of the North Stand where players will hit off an elevated landing for the final approach.

From this hole make your way back up to the concourse and across to the Barfoot & Thompson RSA pavilion.

Jameson Clubhouse

Please access the South Level 4 Jameson Clubhouse. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
