Getting here

Eden Park is centrally located in Kingsland only 3km from the CBD.  It is easily accessed by a range of public transport options. Here are some pointers that we hope will help, regardless of how you arrive.

Using Public Transport
Public transport is a great option for anyone travelling to an event at Eden Park, and public transport providers will usually operate special services on big event days.

Their is no free transport to and from Eden Park for the cricket matches at this season.

Taxi
Taxis will be available after the pedestrian crowd had dispersed from ranks in Bond Street and Dominion Road.

Bus
Take advantage of FREE*event busses to Eden Park from Northern Busway Stations. Simply show your pre-purchased game ticket.

Train
Trains are also FREE* on all rail lines from 3 hours prior to the game.  Simply show your pre-purchased ticket

On game day, trains from Waitakere will terminate at Morningside.  From there, it’s an easy walk via Morningside Drive and Rossmay Tce to Eden Park.  After the game, Morningside will be the station for passengers travelling west.  Some train service  departing Morningside will terminate at Henderson.

Trains from Britomart will terminate at Kingsland stopping only at Grafton Station on route.  After the game, Kinglsand will be the station for passengers heading back towards the city (transfer at Britomart for trains going South or East).

Newmarket / Eden Park Complimentary Shuttle
On match days, you can catch the Newmarket/Eden Park shuttle free of charge, just show your Match Day ticket or Membership Card to the driver as you enter the bus.

Ferry
Regular Ferry services link with trains from Britomart.

Using your own vehicle

If travelling in your own vehicle, we suggest that you carpool, to reduce the overall number of vehicles in the suburban area surrounding the park.

Cycling to Eden Park

If your cycling to Eden Park we have bike stands at Entries C2, D, G and L.

ITM Complimentary Shuttle
Eden Park has recommenced its Complimentary Pre and Post Game ITM Cup Shuttle service.

Shuttle service commences two hours before gates open and will recommence 10 minutes after games end for up to an hour.

Public Road Closures
The following roads will be managed or closed to assist with crowd arrival and egress:

Pre Match

Walters Road (Sandringham Road to Kowhai Street), Cricket Avenue, Raleigh Street (Cricket Avenue to Kowhai Street), Reimers Avenue, Bellwood Avenue (Cricket Avenue to Marlborough Street will be managed access pre-game from 6.00pm until 8.00pm to assist with crowd management.

Post Match

Sandringham Road (Rossmay Terrace to New North Road), Walters Road (Sandringham Road to Kowhai Street), Reimers Avenue, Cricket Avenue, Raleigh Street (Cricket Avenue to Kowhai Street) and Bellwood Avenue (Cricket Avenue to Marlborough Street) will be closed from 8.00pm to 10.00pm to assist with crowd dispersal.

Also Rossmay Terrace, Altham Avenue, Sandringham (Rossmay Terrace to Burnley) Onslow Road (Sandringham Road to Cromwell Street) and Walter Road (Kowhai to cromwell Street) will be managed access from 8.00pm to 10.00pm to assist crowd dispersal.

Residents only parking applies to most streets within the area bounded by New North Rd, Morningside Drive, Paice Ave, and Dominion Rd.
