The variable traffic management plan that is in use for all matches at Eden Park also allows for various levels of restricted parking in the streets surrounding Eden Park. The following example covers the Super 14 series. Expect greater restrictions for Rugby Tests. Timing of the restrictions will also vary depending on Kick Off times; this example is based on a 7.35pm Kick Off.

This Parking Resolution is implemented to facilitate the Variable Traffic Management Plan (VTMP) for Eden Park 2006/2007. These restrictions include:

No Stopping, Residential Parking, Mobility Parking, Bus Stops, Taxi stands.

1.3 Consultation Undertaken
 

The Traffic Spokesperson for the Eden-Albert Community Board has been consulted and agrees with the proposal. All residents and parties affected by the Traffic Management Plan have also been consulted.

Event: Eden Park

Start: 7.35pm Kick Off

Crowd Expectation – 5,000 to 30,000 (25,000 approx this game)

Enforcement Time – 1600 hours to 2200 hours

*Road Closures – Walters Road, Cricket Avenue, Raleigh Street, Reimers Avenue.

*Stop/ Go Pedestrian Crossing Sandringham Road

*Action Traffic – ph: 630 7200

 
2.1 Location and Site Description
 

The Eden Park Variable Traffic Management Plan (VTMP) shall have Temporary

No Stopping installed in the following streets

That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25, Clause 25.3.2, No Stopping Authorised Vehicles Only be authorised and the appropriate signs in the form described in Part VII of the Fourth Schedule to the Traffic Regulations 1976 be erected on:-

Walters Road , north side, from Sandringham Road to Kowhai Street.

Cricket Avenue, east side, between Walters Road and Raleigh Street.

Cricket Avenue, east side, between Bellwood Avenue and Reimers Avenue.

Reimers Avenue , south side, between Sandringham Road and Cricket Avenue.

Raleigh Street , south side, between Cricket Avenue and Marlborough Street.

Kowhai Street , west side, between Walters Road and Onslow Road.

Dominion Road, west side, from Onslow Road to George Street.

Burnley Terrace – north side,from Dominion Road to first speed hump, also from Sandringham Road to House 57.

Onslow Road, north side, from Dominion Road to Cromwell Street

That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25, Clause 25.5.1, No Stopping Authorised Vehicles Onlybe authorised and marked out and the appropriate signs described in Part VII of the Fourth Schedule to the Traffic Regulations 1976 be erected on:-

Sandringham Road , east side from #12 to Reimers Road

Sandringham Road , west side Rossmay Terrace extending north to the Bus stop or approx 150m

Sandringham Road , west side from the Bus stop extending north to the Taxi Stand or approx 50m

Sandringham Road , east side from Reimers Road extending south to Burnley Terrace

Sandringham Road , west side from Rossmay Terrace extending south to Ethel Street

Onslow Road, north side, from Sandringham Road extending east for a distance of approx 60m

 
2.3 Location and Site Description
 

The Eden Park Variable Traffic Management Plan (VTMP) shall have Temporary

Taxi Stand installed: in the following streets

That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25, Clause 25.5.1, and Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, Section 2.1, a Taxi Stand be authorised and the appropriate signs and markings erected and made in the form described in the First and Second Schedules of Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004 be erected and made on:-

Sandringham Road, west side from the lift well extending north to the signal crossing (taxi)

Onslow Road, South side, from Sandringham Road extending east for a distance of approx 60m Cromwell Street

 
2.4 Location and Site Description
 

The Eden Park Variable Traffic Management Plan (VTMP) shall have Temporary

Mobility Card Holders Only AAT installed: in the following streets

That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25, Clause, 25.7(a), (b) and (c), an on- street parking place Mobility Card Holders Only A.A.T. be approved and marked out on: -

Walters Road, north side, from a point 35.0 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Kowhai Street, extending east for a distance of 60.5 metres or to Marlborough Street.

Cricket Avenue, west side, from a point 10.5 metres north of the northern kerb line of Reimers Avenue, extending north for a distance of 30.5 metres.

Cricket Avenue, east side, from a point 6.0 metres south of the southern kerb line of Raleigh Street, extending south for a distance of 17.0 metres.

Cricket Avenue, east side, from a point 28.5 metres south of the southern kerb line of Raleigh Street, extending south for a distance of 13.5 metres.

Cricket Avenue, east side, from a point 47.0 metres south of the southern kerb line of Raleigh Street, extending south for a distance of 15.5 metres.

Cricket Avenue, east side, from a point 67.0 metres south of the southern kerb line of Raleigh Street, extending south for a distance of 14.0 metres.

 
2.5 Location and Site Description
 

The Eden Park Variable Traffic Management Plan (VTMP) shall have Temporary

Residents Only Parking (ROP) installed: in the following streets

That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25, Clause 25.8.3 (a), (b) and (c), the parking area described below be limited in its use to vehicles displaying an Auckland City Residents Permit During An Event At Eden Park.

Altham Avenue, north side, from a point 6.0 metres west of the western kerb line of Sandringham Road, extending west to a point 6.0 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Rossmay Terrace.

Altham Avenue, south side, from a point 6.0 metres west of the western kerb line of Sandringham Road, extending west to a point 6.0 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Rossmay Terrace.

Bellwood Avenue, north side, from a point 31.5 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Cricket Avenue, extending east for a distance of 155.0 metres.

Bellwood Avenue, south side, from a point 6.0 metres west of the western kerb line of Marlborough Street, extending west for a distance of 185.0 metres.

Bellwood Avenue, north side, from a point 40.5 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Marlborough Street, extending east for a distance of 55.5 metres.

Bellwood Avenue, south side, from a point 5.0 west of the western kerb line of Cromwell Street, extending west for a distance of 90.0 metres.

Burnley Terrace , south side from no.62 to Sandringham Road

Cromwell Street, west side, from a point 13.0 metres north of the northern kerb line of Walters Road, extending north for a distance of 138.0 metres.

Cromwell Street, east side, from a point 10.5 metres south of the southern kerb line of Onslow Road, extending south for a distance of 141.5 metres.

Cromwell Street, west side, from a point 6.0 metres north of the northern kerb line of Bellwood Avenue, extending north for a distance of 168.5 metres.

Cromwell Street, east side, from a point 7.5 metres south of the southern kerb line of Walters Road, extending south for a distance of 165.5 metres.

Cromwell Street , both sides from Bellwood Avenue extending South until the end

Kowhai Street, west side, from a point 8.5 metres south of the southern kerb line of Walters Road, extending south to a point 7.5 metres north of the northern kerb line of Raleigh Street.

Marlborough Street , both sides, between Raleigh Street and Burnley Terrace. Also, east side, from Raleigh Street to Walters Road

Rossmay Terrace, south side, from a point 6.0 metres west of the western kerb line of Sandringham Road, extending west to a point 6.0 metres north of the northern kerb line of Altham Avenue.

Rossmay Terrace, north side, from a point 6.0 metres west of the western kerb line of Sandringham Road, extending west to a point opposite the extended northern kerb line of Altham Avenue.

Royal Terrace, both sides, between Sandringham Road and Tongariro Street.

Tongariro Street , both sides, between Royal Terrace and Marlborough Street.

Taupata Street , both sides, from Marlborough Street, to the end.

Walters Road , south side, between Kowhai Street and Marlborough Street

Walters Road , both sides, between Marlborough Street and Cromwell Street, also south side between Kowhai Street and Cricket Ave.

Wellgarth Street both sides, from Royal Terrace to the end

Shaw Street, south side, west of Sandringham Road to Collins Street.
